Cause of Establishment:
Jambhoji was a Tanwar Rajput of the village peepasar in Nagaur district. He renounced the world and devoted himself to ascetism to attain close proximity with the Lord. It’s said that Lord God appeared before him. Jhambhoji was born in Samvat 1508 (1499 A.D.). He on his own got entombed alive in the village Himmatsar(Mukam) district Bikaner in the year Samvat 1593.This is why the place is famous. Jhambhoji prescribed 20+9 rules and followers of these rules are called Vishnoi who regard Jhambhoji their Guru. In Samvat 1542 the Vishnoi sect was established by Jhambo ji who became Guru and Their deity.

       
Brief of the Diety:

The entombed of Jambhoji is present in Nokha District Bikaner. 3 kms away from the site of the tomb is a sand mound equal samarathal. Jambhoji practicised is ascetism there. In village Nokha, District Bikaner the marble tomb of Jambhoji is present.

The tomb of Jambhoji is magnificent and big. The whole site is covered with marble. The huge tomb is round shaped. The entire temple is made of Marble and is on elevated position. This can be seen from a distance.

Religious aspects of temple:

20 and 9 rules made by Jambhoji are regarding the preservation of environment. Security of animals and all creatures and mercy for every living being. The place where Jambhoji prescribed asticism is on a mound, 3 kms, from the samadhi. Here wild animals such as deer, stags, here and other kinds of Birds roam fearlessly and they behave intimately with the visitors. Every care is taken that no damage is done to the animals. Thus we can say Guru Jambhoji was a great Environmentalist.
