Cause of Establishment : The Maharaja was intensely religious. His devotional faith and his ambition to have town planning and building of temples, prompted him for this temple.

       
Brief of the Diety:

Both the idols are cast in Metal.The idols are of Shri Krishna and his eternal beloved Shri Radha .The name goverdhan Nath applies to lord krishna who held the mount of goverdhan on his hand to save Brajamandal from the delnge of a rainy downpower.

The temple has been built in Havely style of AgricultureThe temple has been built in Havely style of Agriculture.This picture shows the jhoola or Swing which is quite elabrately ornamental.In the month of Sawan when rains set in Lord krishna and consort Radha enjoy Swinging.

The marble pillars in the temple are of taperiry shape like an elephant's trunk. The are highly polished.

The plaster has floral designs or ornamental patterns.

Religious aspects of temple:

The temple in Jaipur style beers the inspiration of the great poet Shri Bhola Nath Shukla, who created Krishna leelamritam. The idols of Krishna and Radha are in keeping with this. The temple serves the Vaishnava faith.

The gate of this temple is adjacent to the gate of Hawa Mahal. Wide open chowks, marble pillars massive and elegantly carved, Jagmohan (worship hall) with immaculate geometrical perfection floral patterns and designs shown in plaster- All these make the temple a work of art.
