Cause of Establishment:
The temple was built in Vikram Samvat 1962 (1905 A.D.). The founder of this temple was Maharani Jadechiji. The Idol of the Lord Krishna, which she had brought with her when she came to Jodhpur Jamnagar (Gujrat). After marrige to Jodhpur Queen, therefore; built, a temple when the shrine of the deity was established.

       
Brief of the Diety:

The idols of Lord Krishna and his consort Radhika are enshrined here. One of the names of Lord Krishna is Ranchhor also. Krishna was named so when in his fight against Jarasandh, he fled away form the battle field and went to Dwarka.

The Temple has been constructed on a plinth level, which is almost 30 ft. high. The Arati of this temple is visible from the Jodhpur fort also.

Maharani Jadeji was a devotee of Lord Krishna and when marriage, she came to Jodhpur from her father’s she not only brought her personal deity Lord Krishna Ranchhodji , but the pujaris as well. These Pujaris have settled in Jodhpur for God. Descendants of this family are the Pujaris of this temple.
