Cause of Establishment:
This temple was founded with the objective of disseminating the religious tenets and sacred principles of devotion to Lord Rama.

       
Brief of the Diety:

While no deity in anthropomorphic form is enshrined, the worshippers here meditate and discourse of Shabda Brahma the revealed word, identified with the ultimate being Brahama. The Ultimate reality is the revealed word “ Rama” which is devoid of attributes. It is abstract. Followers of this cult believe that devotion to this revealed word is the way to salvation or moksha.It is belived that the sacred word Rawna is the sole basis for redemption in kaliyuga.Chanting if thisholy name removes all sens and impurities that cover up the pristive pure glory of the soul.

Religious sect to which the temple belongs:

This place of worship belongs to the Rama snehi cult founded by Maha Prabhu Rama Charanji in1650 A.D.

This place in particular is the head religious center of the international Ramasnehi Sampradaya. The Ramadwara here has been built with architectural elegance. The Barahadari (hall with twelve gates) has been built in marble. Beneath is an octogonal entombment (samadhi). Visitors pay their homage here and make their wishes, which they believe, shall be realized.

The Ramadwara has been built in marble, building stone, mortar, lime etc. Initially it was completed On ground floor is the entombment in the Sanctum Sanctorum. The huge twelve door hall having 108 pillars, the Suraj Pol and arches are also on the ground floor. On the second floor stands the chhatra mahal (the canopy palace), the palace of the Acharya(head priest) and other canopies or umbrella shaped structures.

Festivals & Fairs in Temple (Main Events):

From the first to the fifth day of Chaitra month, immediately after holi, activities, begin. Religious discourses are held. The holybook called Anabhei waniji is read. Priestly and saintly persons deliver sermons. People come to have a darshan of these holymen. Bhakta Milan(assemblage of devotees) is the objective of this period. Acharya Shri, the head priest, also makes an announcement of his chaturmas (four month long stay during rainy season). Thus this phooldol (floral adornment) festival is very important.

Custom & Traditions of Temple:

From early morning to late night, the Devotees keep chanting utterances, singing bhajans, giving and hearing discourses on the philosophical doctrines of Swami Shri Rama Charnaji to propagate devotion to Rama, the shabad brahma, a great devotional fervor is automatically created. The entire town gets replete with this in exuberance.
