Cause of Establishment: The queen of Jeetpur was a devotee of Lord Shri Krishna. When she was married to the Maharaja here, she came from Sirohi to Jodhpur and also brought her deity with her. Since the deity was her personal god, she got a temple built here to enshrine the deity.

       
Brief of the Diety:

Apparently this gives apearence of a Surya Mandir(Sun temple) but the deity enshrined is Lord Krishna between Samvat 2042-2043 (1986 A.D.).

The temple belongs to Vaishnava sect of Hindus.

The temple has been built in the Architectural style used in building mostly in vaishnava temples. For the beauty and grandeur the temple is worth seeing. On the walls, scenes and pictures have been engraved and encraved and mosaic work has also been done.

The Marble of Makrana and sandstone of Chhitar have been used in the construction of the temple.

This is primarily a temple having the shrine of Lord Krishna. The worship is conducted in the tradition of Vaishnavas. The temple for its location and beauty is a great place of attraction with in the city ramparts.

The temple appears to be sun temple, but it is dedicated to Lord Krishna.

Since this is a temple of the Vaishnava sect, Pooja is performed according to vaishnava traditions. In addition to Lord Krishna, other deities worshiped here are Ganeshji, Yogmayaji, Hanumanji, Narsinghji, Mahadevji and Meera Bai. These statutes/idols are installed in the temple. Various timely Aratis such as Mangata, Shringar, Rajbhoga and Shyan Aaratis are performed.

This is in fact a very old temple, but it came in the present shape after renovation and modification. Since no publicity of the temple has been made, not many tourists know about this beautiful worth seeing spot. Great publicity should, therefore, be given.
