Cause of Establishment:
Veer Teja ji was a great warrior who laid down his life for the protection of cows. Hence he attained martyrdom for religion. To commemorate this valiant act of exemplary sacrifice this temple was founded.

       
Brief of the Diety:

Veer Tejaji (Tejaji the heroic valiant). The marble statue of Tejaji is enshrined. As has been said albove the temple was built by Maharaj Abhai Singh ji of Jodhpur state and his minister Vijai Raj performed the Praan Prathishta (ritual investiture there of Praan (life) into the deity). Presently the priest of the temple is Shri Ram Swarup Sharma.

Pooja of the deity is performed in the Vaishnava tradition but the deity is venerated by devotees of all sects viz. Hindus, Sikhs, Muslims etc.

The temple stands on an upraised platform. In the tomb is the shrine of Tejaji. Lime, stone and local material have been used for construction. The statue of the deity is in marble. In front is a verandah built in cement.

Lime, cement marble the construction is 268 years old.

Unique features of the temple:

Cases of snake bite are broght here for treatment. Worship is offered in a special way to invoke the deity which finally possesses someone. This possesed person removes the snake venom from victims body.

Festivals & Fairs in Temple (Main Events):

Every year a cattle fair is organised here which lasts from Shrawan Shukla Poornima to Amavasya of the month of Bhadra pada. Cattle rearers and sellers / purchasers from All over Rajasthan and nearby states of Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh come. Animals are sold and purchased. Thereafter, a religious fair is held in the bright half of the month of Bhadra pad.

Issues requiring global attention for conservation, protection and improvement of the temple:

The temple requires renovation and repair. Proposals to this effect are pending with the government. The public trust of the temple must be activated.
