Cause of Establishment:
One does not know who built this temple because on the top of the mountain is a cave where some sadhu must have practiced asterism. People here have a belief that he was the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. He was sage Duttatreya.

       
Brief of the Diety:

This place is said to be most ancient. Guru Duttatreya worshiped a Shiva Linga here. Apart from this, there is an idol of Ansuya Mata. This lends the temple a hoary antiquity. Outside there is a small inscription on which the name of Ganesh Giri is encarved. This shows that the place was 400 years old.

Religious sect to which the temple belongs:

The temple belongs to Sanyasi Naga Sect of Desh Nami Sampradaya. Nagas are the category of Sadhus who come under the Dash Nami Sampradaya founded by Adi Guru Shankaracharyaji.

This is the place where worship of Guru Duttatreya is performed. The place has been a site for asterism of many ascetics. Total Construction Time: No one knows how much time was taken to develop this place, but it is very old.

The place stands at the top of the highest Aravali peak said to be 5600 ft.high of many ascetics. At the old site the feet in stone of Lord Duttatreya are installed and worshipped.
